The Flower of Life
The Flower of Life is an ancient geometric pattern made of overlapping circles, unfolding from a central point. Across different cultures and traditions, circular forms have often been associated with wholeness, creation, harmony and the mystery of life.
Whether we see it as sacred geometry, a symbolic image, or simply a beautiful pattern, the Flower of Life offers us something very simple: a place to rest our gaze and quiet the mind.
Its circles move outward from the center, and then invite the eye to return.
For this short meditation, you don’t need to know what the symbol means. You don’t need to believe anything about its properties.
Simply allow the geometry to become a doorway into stillness — a gentle reminder that, beneath all the movement of our lives, there is always a center we can return to.
From the center, we open.
Through stillness, we listen.
And in the heart, we return.

A Short Meditation with the Flower of Life
Sit quietly and allow your breathing to become natural.
If you have an image of the Flower of Life, place it gently before you.
Bring your attention to the center.
Don’t try to understand the symbol.
Simply look.
Follow the circles slowly with your eyes, allowing them to expand outward.
Then return gently to the center.
As you breathe, imagine that you too are returning to your own center — the quiet place within where you do not need to search, achieve or understand.
Simply be present.
Breathe in: I return to the center.
Breathe out: I open to the heart.
Stay here for a few moments.
And when you are ready, close your eyes.
Perhaps the purpose of contemplation is not to find something new, but to remember what has quietly been there all along.
Return to the center.
Return to the heart.
And perhaps, whenever you need a moment of stillness, you can return to this simple practice — allowing the circles to remind you that the journey outward can always lead you home.
