Hosted by Savanna Wonderwheel & Sue Ellen Parkinson
The Little Gifts Podcast Mary Magdalene episode with Véronique Flayol is a heartfelt conversation about spiritual lineage, pilgrimage, and the living presence of place. From the beginning, it explores devotion, memory, and inner transmission.
Hosted by Savanna Wonderwheel and Sue Ellen Parkinson, the Little Gifts Podcast is an intergenerational space of wisdom and creativity. In this space, Sue Ellen, an extraordinary artist, and her granddaughter Savanna share a natural bond that is felt immediately. As a result, each episode is offered as a “little gift” of presence, reflection, and beauty.
I had the joy of reconnecting with Sue Ellen through this podcast. Several years ago, we first met during a pilgrimage in Provence. At that time, I was accompanying the journey alongside my dear friend Kayleen Asbo. Over the course of nearly ten days, we walked together. Because of this, a deep and lasting connection was formed.
In this episode of the Little Gifts Podcast Mary Magdalene, we continue that thread.
Mary Magdalene, Provence, and Spiritual Lineage
As presented in the podcast, my story with Mary Magdalene began long before my own lifetime. Raised in Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume, where my ancestors have watched over the relics of Mary Magdalene for nearly three centuries, I grew up immersed in Provençal traditions and in the presence of the Sainte-Baume mountain — the place where Mary Magdalene is said to have spent her final years.
This episode of the Little Gifts Podcast Mary Magdalene explores how land, memory, and transmission shape a living spiritual path. That is why we speak of pilgrimage not as tourism, but as an embodied practice of listening, remembrance, and inner transformation.
Finally, I am deeply grateful to Sue Ellen and Savanna. Above all, they hold a gentle and luminous space. In doing so, this conversation invites listeners to meet the Magdalene tradition as a living presence, rooted in love, courage, and inner freedom.
I have the pleasure to share with you this interview. Enjoy !
